Under the VILLAGE CLASS ACTION
SETTLEMENT, owners of homes built by Village Homes
of Colorado, Village Homes Ltd., Signature
Development Company, Inc., Village Homes Inc. d/b/a
Village Homes have the potential availability of
benefits as they relate to the Slab Repair/Slab
Replacement of their basement slab due to expansive
soils. Also, in lieu of the right to receive a
payment toward slab repair/replacement, a Payment in
Lieu is available with the amount based on the
Program Year in which the claim is filed. More
detailed and precise terms of the Settlement and
entitlement of its Benefits as outlined in the 1997
Civil Action No. 96 CV 177, Division 2 of the
Douglas County District Court may be accessed by
selecting settlement agreement from the menu. The
settlement program will expire by its own terms on
November 4, 2007.
To initiate a claim, please access
the Claim Form. The Claim Form specifies the
physical measurements/requirements of the claim. The
Claim Form must be signed by all owners of the
property and returned to William R. Peterson, Claims
Administrator, c/o Colorado Management and
Associates, 8100 SouthPark Way, A-5, Littleton,
Colorado 80120.
